Enyekala (Must Test)—World Of Ice & Stone

You must test survival, upon the coldest sea.

The Outback

From days past, restless folk have found their way to the Outback. They always come the same way—from the depths of a small cave that opens to the red plain. But in this place nothing is real—it is like a dream which fades, then repeats; how many times no one knows. By day, the rays of a sun untempered by clouds beat down on a hot, dusty valley. How many people have come before you to this dry and thirsty place? None know, but if you listen, perhaps you can hear their names on the midnight wind. Some folks, you imagine, have searched, and perhaps some have found what they looked for … a place where things done are remembered, where decisions made are not forgotten. If so, to where have they gone, and will you be able to follow?

Gray lines mark the playable perimeter

This is an anarchy/chaos dimension without protection, locked doors, or locked chests. The above displays a map of the Outback Valley (where new players start). This map updates hourly. You cannot place protections in this region, and all your builds are temporary until the restless wind finally takes them away. The bones of previous travelers are all that is remembered. You can escape this dreamscape realm, if you choose to, and there are reasons you might choose, one day, to return ….

The Dimensional Gate

The dimensional gate is your way of getting to the overworld. Note that this particular gate is slightly unstable. It will change its exit coordinates from time to time, usually after a random period of 10 to 90 realtime days.

There is a calendar item you can craft which will show you the number of days until the gate shifts. It will also reveal the exit coordinates for this gate only, in case you desire to travel to this location in the overworld. The calendar also reports the number of realtime days until the Outback dimension resets.

Notice: if your character perishes after leaving the Outback before you have set a bed, then you’ll respawn in the Outback again, with nothing in your inventory except the starter items (and your Proof or Key, if you had one). As long as the gate in the Outback does not shift its exit location, then you will come out at the same location as before when you use it. With some careful planning you may be able to use this to your advantage.

Players should especially make sure to read the notes on beds and the city block. You might be in for a nasty surprise if you don’t.
